Does you notebook over heat? I know mine does. Sometimes notebooks laid on a flat surface can be an obstruction to the fan that's located at the bottom of the notebook. The Laptop Legs/Mac Feet attaches to any notebook at the bottom with a peel n' stick adhesive. Each weighs only 7 grams or 1/4 of an ounce.
Don't shorten the life span of your computer. Allow increased air flow under the notebook so there is no heat build-up. Other uses for the Laptop Legs/Mac Feet include elevating desktop keyboards higher than their built-in legs allow to reduce body fatigues from the back and shoulder muscles.
It is packaged as 1 pair, a total of 2 Legs/Feet per package and have a 1 year limited warranty against defects. Supports weight of 15 pounds indefinitely.
Review of Laptop Legs (2008-06-04)
Great product to cool those hot PC laptops and MacBooks and Powerbooks. I like to the two height settings. Make sure that you clean your laptop in the area where you plan to install the Legs with alcohol first.
LapWorks Laptop Legs (2008-06-01)
I found this product to be essentially useless. After finding an area on the bottom of my laptop that would leave the battery free to remove, I attached the legs. It kept the laptop elevated, but also not well balanced when it was open. After a week or so, the adhesive broke down and the legs fell off.
Just What You Need (2008-05-28)
Having a laptop with "legs" means that eventually they will
snap off. Either from overworking them or having kids or
otheres accidently breaking them. Nothings worse than having
to try and find a book just the right size under the lappy.
Enter Lapworks Laptop Legs. They set your laptop back up into
its best ventilated position. The only downside is that these
legs can sometimes fall off. You can stick them right back
on though, unlike the usual legs on most lap tops so maybe
thats a plus. And you can't beat the price!
great product, works as described (2008-03-04)
My G4 powerbook runs very hot at times and the legs stick fine. I can peel them off from the hot surface, but if I don't, they stay put. The legs do not collapse if I push my laptop around. If there's anything to make better, I'd make the surface of the extended legs a little slippery so that I can slide the laptop around on my desk without making a scratchy noise. Even if the legs are not extended, the computer is not flat on the surface, allowing some ventilation. The computer still goes easily into its slim case. My neck and back appreciate sitting more straight with the screen higher up. I prefer the low-tech low-weight design to a laptop stand.
Great product... (2007-06-07)
Just as descibed. Very few items on Amazon due exactly as they describe, but this hits the nail on the head. Keeps my Macbook Pro cooler when doing heavy graphic/photo work. They are easily removable, without heating or anything, but they do not come off without heavy pulling. Does not affect size of notebook.
