Wobbly Stand, Quiet Fans (2008-10-02)
The stand is extremely wobbly--it does not topple over, yet the unnecessary motions of the computer on the stand creates various inconveniences whenever I type. The fans, on the other hand, work well and are very quiet. 17'' laptops are definitely discouraged from entering into a relationship with this stand (i have a 15''4).
WOW..... that about sums it up (2008-08-14)
If you look at some of my past reviews I have reviewed a lot of other laptop stands which I do love. There was one that was an adjustable stand and I loved that product and still do then there was one that was just a cooling pad with built in fans, and it worked great and loved it also. Well this product combines those two concepts into one and I la la la love it! That is actually an understatement I just cant think of anything better to say. Well lets start off with the fact that the fans are amazingly quiet and the fans work excellent. One of my favorite aspects though is the USB hub, my laptop only has four USB ports and for me thats not enough, I plug in my mouse, keyboard, flash drive, and my iPod. I have no room to plug in the stand so the fact that it comes with more ports is a very nice feature for me. In closing I would like to say that this product has made my life better! I know it sounds cheesy but I really enjoy this product and use it to the fullest.
Very Quiet Laptop Stand (2008-08-06)
I've seen a few laptop fans before, but this one was very quiet. It even hard to hear if the air conditioning was on.
The USB hub is a nice addition so I can plug in my keyboard.
It came with the USB cable to attach the computer to the USB hub and power for the fans.
It swivels a little bit, which I'm not sure it was meant to do that, but since I type with my external keyboard, it's no problem.
You can lower the stand enjoy so that it is comfortable to type without an external keyboard. It's also nice that the stand can collapse completely so I can put it in my bag and take it with me if I need to.
The stand should fit laptops 15" and under, I'm not sure about 17" laptops.
